When you can't stitch?

What do you do?

My neck is bothering me. Since Thursday. So I will post a pic of what I got done on Needle Maiden before I was hurt. It was going pretty well, what with being on vacation and all. But before I get to that, seriously, what do you do when you can't stitch for some reason.

I went back to work on Monday, but otherwise I've been planning, trying to kit up some of the floss I've gotten for my new starts in September. I've done some daydreaming, added too much to my wish list and cut it back again, looked at other's wish lists. I've been hanging out on the HAED bulletin board, hanging out on Facebook with the HAED areas, and reading lots of stitching blogs.
So what do you do when you can't stitch for a bit?

Here is Needle Maiden by the way. About 700 stitches.

More later.

Karen, the progress on your maiden is quite good. Its too bad your having neck problems, but you will trooper through it just as you always have. Hang in there.

What I do is daydream and pick out new charts mostly. I read and watch TV. I organize, or try to, my stash and flip through my old cross stitch and knitting magazines looking for ideas.

Oops, forgot to add, you inspire me! Lupus, nerve damage and the disk problems (did you ever get that checked?)but you still motor along. That takes guts, and dedication. Just wanted to say.

Karen, I pretty much do the same thing you do, read the cross stitching blogs, enjoy others work, read tips and tricks for stitching. Plan new starts. Organize my floss. It is so hard to not pick up a needle, feel weird, like withdrawal or something.

You are awesome, you do what you do when you can. You inspire others.

Thank you both for saying such nice things. I just really love to stitch, and everything that goes with. But it certainly made me feel very nice.

I am Anna and just found your blog. I love that you show your real progress. I don't know what you've been through with your health but it is so cool that you show your real stuff on here.
Just a warning, as long as you have anonymous comments turned on you will get a troll sooner or later. I love how easy you made it to make a comment though.

How do you get free patterns?
How much does it cost for supplies?
